IVWA 2010: Rosé

The best rosés at the Wine Access 2010 International Value Wine Awards

IVWA 2010: Rosé

The vogue for rosé wines continues to gain momentum, as wine lovers the world over warm up to pink all year long. France and Spain have been champions of the style for eons, but a broad array of serious grapes and interesting regions are expanding our horizons for rosé.

New World countries pack their crisp rosés with gorgeous aromatics, ripe red berries, finishing dry, but with loads of fruit in the aftertaste. Youthful vibrancy is often a virtue, but the best are capable of aging a few years. Let’s not forget that rosés may be the most versatile food wines around. (DJ Kearney)
