Was shocked to not see La Frenz on the list. Year after year, we've bought multiple cases of both red and whites. As for Oculous, we have many cellared but stopped buying as too pricey. For that price, Caymus (US) and any Ben Glatzer wines (Amon ra) are superior.

Church & State 2009 Syrah...essence of ashtray, coffee & dirt, blah! Very flinty.

Mission Hills Oculous must be on this list, One of the best red full bodied wines I have tried, much better then some of high end sonoma and Italian wines I have tried, pricey but well worth it!!!Must Have for the Cellar!!!

Remember this is the 2011 awards, so 2005 and 2008 vintages were, I'm sure, recognized in their own time.

Joie's Noble Blend certainly wouldn't have been out of place either. Just goes to show how many amazing wines are coming out of BC right now!

They completely missed Poplar Grove, one of the best wineries on the Naramata bench! Their 05 Legacy is PHENOMINAL and the recent 08 CSM blend is another great red blend.

No list of quality BC wine is complete without several mentions of La Frenz. Every one of their whites is outstanding!

I am saddened that The House of Rose has been left out of this list! For me 1 of the best wines EVER is their Summer White! They have a newish wine called "Hot Flash" - which sounds something I DEFINITELY need! Also a stunning flavorful Marechal Foch! Try them out - they even deliver!!!!!
