AC/DC to Launch Wine Range

The Australian rock band will release four wines named after hit songs

AC/DC to Launch Wine Range

AC/DC has teamed up with Australian winemaker Warburn Estate to release AC/DC The Wine.

The AC/DC wine range is named after hit songs and includes the Highway to Hell Cabernet Sauvignon, the Hells Bells Sauvignon Blanc, the Back in Black Shiraz and the You Shook Me All Night Long Muscat.

The four bottles of wine will go on sale in stores across Australia on Thursday, Aug. 18.

"We wanted to make sure that AC/DC's home fan base could have easy access to their rock icons' wines," Steve Donohue, general manager of buying for the Woolworths Liquor Group, told the BBC.

AC/DC is not the first band to make their own wine. In 2008, The Rolling Stones released wines in collaboration with Ex Nihilo Vineyards. Madonna, Barbara Streisand and KISS have also released their own wines.
