Raise a glass to National Coffee Day on Sept. 29

It's there for you. Through late night cram sessions in university, capping off a delicious dinner at your favourite restaurant and being part of your hectic morning routine — coffee. Saturday, September 29 is National Coffee Day, a time to celebrate the diversity of coffee.

So, pour yourself a cup of Joe and savour the places it transports you to. Or, enjoy one of these coffee-inspired cocktails.

The Frangelico Truffle

Ingredients

1 oz Frangelico

1 oz SKYY vodka

.75 oz espresso

Method

Shake with ice and serve chilled up in a cocktail or martini glass. Dust with dark chocolate shavings.

The Coffee Kiss

Ingredients

2 oz CAMUS VSOP Cognac (or VS)

1 oz Irish Cream

Ground coffee

Method

Pour directly into glass filled with rocks. Sprinkle ground coffee on top.
