New Wine Shopping Website Launches in Alberta

Independent wine merchants in Alberta have recently combined with other entrepreneurs to create Alberta Winestein, a website that offers selections from around the world delivered to your door.

"Small, local merchants — and competitors — from around the province are banding together to present their wines and encourage consumers to buy excellent wines from locally owned businesses", says Guillaume Bedard, the founder of Alberta Winestein.

“We are local entrepreneurs who have come together,” says Bedard. “Our partners see Alberta Winestein as a collective effort to serve customers and promote great wines and food pairings on a state of the art ecommerce platform.”

Wine can be ordered and delivered to communities across the province, allowing access to outlying areas of the province. The website, that has no membership fees, aims to share the wide selection available in the larger city centres with people across in the province.

Launched at the end of November, Alberta Weinstein is also partnering with some of Calgary’s finest food retailers, like Canadian Rocky Mountain Ranch and Janice Beaton Fine Cheese.

"Canadian Rocky Mountain Ranch is very pleased to offer our premium quality naturally raised meat products to compliment the great lineup of wines and cheeses offered through Alberta Winestein’s innovative new approach to providing convenient and readily accessible food choices to consumers," says Terry Church.

The market delivers only within Calgary City limits at this point, but makes a great gift idea for friends or colleagues.
