Looking for an excuse to travel to the Niagara region this spring?
Each weekend in May, the Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake will host the Wine and Herb Touring Program.
Guests can visit each of the 26 participating wineries to taste a herb-inspired food paired with one of the winery's VQA wines. The herb-inspired food pairings are put together by the wineries, in consultation with in-house chefs, local restaurants and suppliers.
Mori Gardens, a local garden centre, will partner with the Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake to supply the herbs on display at each winery.
Wine and Herb passes are available for $38 per person until Friday, April 1. After that date, they will be sold for $43 per person. The pass is valid for all weekends of the program and entitles the holder to a wine and food pairing at each of the 26 wineries.
Touring passes can be purchased online at wineriesofniagaraonthelake.com or by calling the Niagara-on-the-Lake Chamber of Commerce at 905-468-1950. After April 13, touring passes can be purchased at any of the participating wineries.
