Astoria prosecco is produced in the Polegato family's historical Val de Brun vineyard, situated on 50 hectares in Veneto, Italy. Grapes are hand-picked in small batches to produce their 10 different wines. Astoria 2011 Prosecco (ON $13.95) is bright and well-balanced, with tiny bubbles and crisp fruit flavours. Made from 100% Glera, this wine would pair nicely with appetizers, seafood or creamy sauces. It also lends itself to a cocktail creation like the ones featured below.
