Want to rub shoulders with Atlantic Canada wine experts and learn a little bit more about Canada's latest wine region? Consider attending the 2012 Atlantic Canada Wine Symposium.
Registration opens today for the conference, which runs from May 27 to 29 at the Westin Nova Scotian Hotel in Halifax. It's targeted to grape growers, winemakers, winery owners, researchers, sommeliers, educators, industry suppliers and media.
The symposium will offer interactive workshops focused on grape-growing, winemaking and the wine business. Delegates can choose from more than 35 workshops during the 3-day event.
The symposium will also feature a marketplace with equipment and suppliers.
“We have a small, but distinctive and viable wine industry here on the East Coast that has piqued the interest of international sommeliers, researchers and media,” says Janice Ruddock, managing director of the Winery Association of Nova Scotia, in a news release. “This conference is an opportunity to get together, to share trends, discuss the wine industry and to learn from each other…it’s a one-stop shop for networking and learning the latest in wine technology and grape growing.”
