Looking for a Valentine's event that is perfect for the charitable wine enthusiast? Township 7 Vineyards and Winery is hosting the fifth annual  Taste the Stars on Saturday, Feb. 12 at their winery in Langley, B.C.

Township 7 will release its 2008 7 Stars sparkling wine, as well as the 2007 Reserve 7 Meritage and 2009 Viognier. For the first time ever, Taste the Stars will feature special seminars on wine and food.

Winemaker Bradley Cooper and proprietor Mike Raffan will host a seminar on méthode champenoise winemaking and champagne sabrage. It will run from noon to 4 p.m. and is free.

There will also be a chocolate truffle seminar with Jacqueline Pearson of White Rock's Chocolaterie Bernard Callebaut and 1 Fish 2 Fish fresh seafood market will offer a seminar on pairing seafood and wine during the evening.

Local Fraser Valley band We Play for Wine will provide live music to accompany the seafood and wine tasting.

Partial proceeds from the event will be donated to the B.C. chapter of the Starlight Children's Foundation.

Taste the Stars is on Saturday, Feb. 12 from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person.
