Moscato has become North America's newest wine obsession. These wines are generally sweet, aromatic, fruity, refreshing, slightly carbonated, low in alcohol and white. The grape can also be vinified dry to make lovely aromatic dry sippers, too. A perfect way to make use of moscato this summer is in a wine cocktail.
"The light vibrancy of this white wine cocktail, featuring Jacob’s Creek Moscato, is perfect for a lazy summer's day," says cocktail expert Kevin Brauch. "It is mixed with blackcurrant liqueur (cassis) and blood orange sorbet for a sophisticated taste, making it a great addition to your favourite summer cocktail list."
So, why not make like King Midas — the ancient Greek king who apparently turned everything he touched to gold and served moscato to his court — and present this stunning wine cocktail at your end-of-summer party.
Summer's Breeze Wine Cocktail5 oz. Jacob’s Creek Moscato white wine
1/4 oz. (approx. 1 teaspoon) Cassis (blackcurrant liqueur)
1 tablespoon (gumball size) Blood orange sorbet
