Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2011, the Winnipeg Wine Festival runs from May 1 to 7. The festival offers public tastings, ancillary events and a gala dinner. Visit winnipegwinefestival.com for information and tickets.
On Saturday, May 28, join Napa Valley's Peter and Deanne Franus for a four-course meal paired with Franus wines at the University of Saskatchewan's Faculty Club. Visit the University of Saskatchewan Faculty Club website for more information and to purchase tickets.
Wine Fest is a two-day wine tasting event from April 29 to 30. Participants will have the opportunity to taste over 150 different wines. For tickets and information, visit nfliquor.com/events/winefestgander.asp.
Wines for Wishes will be held on Saturday, May 7 and benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation of the Atlantic Provinces. The day includes sommelier tasting sessions and a four-course dinner. Open to non-members for a small premium, the gala dinner wraps up the Annual General Meeting of the Atlantic chapter on April 23. The four-course dinner will feature Italian wines, including Tignanello. For tickets and information, visit atlanticsommeliers.ca.
