This is a delicious, well-made pinot noir that's lighter in style than most others from Marlborough, N.Z. Expect aromas of raspberry and cherry, with some tomato leaf and earthy mushroom complexity. It is midweight on the palate, with the ripe bright cherry fruit well-balanced by soft acidity and gentle tannins. It has very good length, with the fruit persisting well. It is drinking at its best now until 2014.
