Paul Cluver 2010 Chardonnay

Here's an open and dense chardonnay that combines fruit and French oak intensity. The pleasant nose includes hints of apple, pear, toasty oak, spice and mineral. It is vibrant on the palate, with pure apple and pear layers joined by spice and toasty character from the French barrels and some creamy notes from the lees stirring that took place during vinification. It is well-proportioned, with good length.
