Château de Fieuzal 2008 Péssac-Léognan Blanc

91Points

Fieuzal's 2008 sémillon-sauvignon blanc is classy and fragrant, with inviting ripe pear, lemon custard and sweet green herb notes like basil and tarragon. This has nicely integrated barrel spice and vanilla flavours. The palate is mid-weight, though intensely flavoured, with bracing, shape-maintaining acidity, balanced alcohol and a long finish. A fine wine, ready to enjoy or hold short-term.
