Only 30 percent of the wine sees oak aging, in a combination of second-fill French and American wood; the remainder is kept in stainless steel. Aromas of chorizo, blueberry cheesecake and sassafras lead you to a palate with supple structure and lovely balance. The wine is quite fresh, with the alcohol just poking up a little on the finish. A pretty little malbec that you should pack into your next picnic basket.
