Before entering your wines:
- Read the complete Rules for Entry and ensure they qualify for this competition
- Prepare your wine delivery in accordance with the following shipping guidelines
GETTING WINE TO THE COMPETITION
Due to the national nature of the Wine Access Canadian Wine Awards, we endeavour to create the consolidation points each year for wineries to ship to before all the wine is assembled at the judging venue.
- 2009 Eastern Consolidation Point
All eastern producers including Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and the Atlantic Provinces can send their submissions to Strewn Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. All wines should be clearly marked with "Canadian Wine Awards 2009" and dropped off or shipped to:
Strewn Winery
1339 Lakeshore Road
Niagara-on-the-Lake
L0S 1J0
Please Note: In order to minimize disruption at Strewn Winery, submissions will only be received Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. from August 10 until August 24, 2009. There can be no extensions to this deadline. Wineries determined to be a part of the 2009 CWA should ensure that their submissions arrive prior to this deadline.
- 2009 Western Consolidation Point
All Wineries west of Manitoba should send their entries to Container World in Kelowna BC. All boxes should be clearly marked with "Canadian Wine Awards 2009 " and dropped off or shipped to:
Canadian Wine Awards
c/o Containerworld
155 B Cambro Road
Kelowna, British Columbia
V1X 7T2
Receiving hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. PLease contact Greig Lawrance or Marlo Mill 250-491-9316 for any inquiries regarding shipping to the western consolidation point. The deadline for delivery in the west is Wednesday August 12, 2009. This date will ensure that the wines will arrive in Toronto in time for the judging.
