No Time for Bad Wine

Tom Firth spends most of his time running frantically from meeting to meeting, and tasting to tasting. From starting in the wine industry on the retail and wine boutique end of things more than a decade ago to joining Wine Access in 2006, he has had the benefit of working with and learning from some of the best palates and most passionate wine experts around. During his day job at Wine Access, Tom is the Events & Promotions Manager where he is responsible for all of the logistics and headaches that go into producing two of Canada's pre-eminent wine competitions: the International Value Wine Awards and the Canadian Wine Awards. Since joining the Wine Access National Tasting Panel, his less than abundant spare time is often filled attending wine tastings, tastings at the office and frequent travel between competitions. Tom is a frequent contributor to Calgary's City Palate magazine and has written the Prairie Report for the Wine Access Canadian Wine Annual. |
