Burrowing Owl Vineyards 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon

This has good varietal expression of cabernet sauvignon, with a bit of cedar, pencil lead, cherry, lilac, blackberry, smoke, leather, licorice and vanilla aromas and flavours. The tannins are slightly grippy and do not quite balance the fruit through the middle, but either a little time or a little red meat on the barbecue should fix that.
