Candido 2007 Devinis Primitivo

86 Points

Earthy and rich on the nose with ripe juicy fruits, plum, and woody notes. Made from 100 percent primitivo. Look for plenty of spicy aromas and a bit of wet tobacco leaf. Full-flavoured and pretty well balanced with tannins sitting quietly in the back seat and plenty of room for clean fruits and acidity to sit up front. Heck of a buy, but best drinking before 2012.
