Villa Maria 2009 Private Bin Pinot Noir
90 Points
A delicious and well-made wine that is lighter in style than most other pinot noirs from Marlborough. Expect aromas of raspberry and cherry fruit, with tomato leaf and tobacco complexity. It is mid-weight on the palate, with the ripe and bright cherry fruit balanced by soft acidity and gentle tannin. Very good length. Seared tuna, roast pork or roast veal would go well. Best 2011 to 2014.
