Tea and dried red fruits on the nose, with leather, smoke, ginger root, wood box and currant. The palate is lean and mean, with slightly green tannins, a spicy and herbal component and good overall presence and structure. This wine won a gold medal at the Wine Access 2011 Canadian Wine Awards.
