Trapiche 2009 Reserve Malbec

87 Points

Trapiche is no small concern: with more than 1,000 hectares of owned vineyards and contracts with another 200 grape growers across the country, it is one of Argentina’s largest exporters. The 2009 Reserve Malbec is a fine example of solid, modern winemaking, with an aromatic and flavour profile firmly in the dense, dark fruit spectrum, with balanced wood spice to expand the range. The palate offers firm, but moderate tannins, while acidity is sufficient to corral the palate into a fine, focused ensemble.
