Quails' Gate 2009 Stewart Family Reserve Pinot Noir

92 Points

Perfume, cherry, earth and caramel aromas are bright and intense on the nose of this BC reserve red. Light-bodied and soft, the Stewart Family Reserve balances acidity with modest tannins, bringing engaging cherry, cola, raspberry and light herbal notes, as well as espresso and white pepper. There's a vibrancy here that suggests a few years of aging would be beneficial, although it is drinking incredibly well now.
