Jackson Estate 2009 Stich Sauvignon Blanc

90 Points

This winning sauvignon blanc is named for fifth-generation winery owner, John “Stich” Stichbury. Stich is made using older, low-yielding vines from seven vineyard sites. After a late picking, this wine is cool-fermented in stainless steel for around four months before bottling. This is a personal favourite for the lower alcohol and balanced, integrated acidity and rich, full texture. The aromatics and flavours sing brilliantly, with clean minerals, citrus, lime, grapefruit rind, gooseberry and passion fruit. Really delicious!
