Purple Cowboy 2009 Tenacious Red

88 Points

A blend of cabernet sauvignon and syrah, the nose has notes of red cherry, cedar box, savoury spice and cherry pie filling. The tannins are a little chewy, but barbecue-friendly, with a good balance of fruit and acid. The finish is a little chocolatey, but this is a versatile wine for entertaining. The Purple Cowboy brand supports "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" for breast cancer awareness.
