Hillebrand 2010 Trius Merlot

86 Points

Plum, blackberry, blueberry, spice, black tea, mocha and just a little stinky on the nose, while the palate shows good fruits and a interesting mocha finish. It’s a little hard and a little clunky at the moment, but it was tasted about 2 weeks after bottling. Serve it with a variety of meats or meat-based pasta dishes, such as lasagna or spaghetti.
