Paul Dolan 2009 Zinfandel

87 Points

Here's an organic zinfandel that's nose shows white pepper, brambly jammy fruit, floral tones and a hint of cured leather. In the mouth, it is consistent, but a little leaner in style with flavours leaning toward spice rather than fruit. It is good, but hard to hold up against riper fleshier styles of the grape variety coming from California.
